Lady Raiders get Postseason Honors

The Lady Raiders ended their basketball season to a good Hutchinson Central Christian Team, 42-50 this
year in Sub-State Semi-finals at Attica and posted a 14-5 final record. Missing games against
Oxford, Caldwell, South Haven, and Cedar Vale/Dexter because of weather and COVID, the team was fortunate to
play the larger part of the season. Throughout the season, one major highlight was winning the
SCBL Tournament with victories over Sedan and South Haven in the semi-final and final games!

"Different players stepped up each night and contributed to the successful season. I appreciate the
hard work and dedication of each player and look forward to another season of Lady Raider
Basketball as we have a solid group of returning players! The graduating senior class will be
missed and I congratulate them on their athletic and academic high school careers and I have
been blessed to be a part of their lives" said Coach Brewster.

In their pre-season Border Queen Classic Tournament, the Lady Raiders took second place and Sr. Aubreigh
Haxton and Jr. Chelsea Coleman were chosen to the All-Tournament Team.
SCBL All-League selections placed four Lady Raiders on the list: First-Team, Aubreigh Haxton.
Second-Team, Chelsea Coleman. Honorable Mention, Destiny Baker and Alexis Vineyard.
Wichita Eagle 1A DII selections included Aubreigh (2 nd Team) and Chelsea (Honorable
Mention).
Topeka Capitol Journal 1A DII selections included Aubreigh (3 rd Team) and Chelsea
(Honorable Mention.)
These players will be recognized at the Awards Banquet on May 3 rd at 7:00pm at the High
School as we look forward to celebrating the player’s accomplishments on and off the court.
