4th & 5th Grade Strataca Field Trip
On Wednesday, May 12, 2021 the 4th and 5th grade classes took a trip to Hutchinson. Normally every year the 4th grade goes to Hutchinson, but last year the 5th graders didn't get their trip to Hutchinson because of COVID. We started our day off visiting Strataca. We spent our morning 650 ft. underground exploring the salt mine and learning about how salt is mined. We got to do a special tour called the Dark Walk. We were given a flashlight and we walked farther into the mine to check out other cool things that a normal tour doesn't get to see! In the afternoon, we ate lunch and played at Carey Park. We had wonderful weather for an afternoon at the park! Everyone agreed that this was the best field trip ever!!
